Abstrak

This research is an experimental study carried out in the eighth grade at SMP Negeri 3 Barusjahe. The researcher utilized two distinct classes: the experimental class and the control class. Class VIII 1 served as the control class, comprising 27 students, while Class VIII 2 was the experimental class, consisting of 25 students. The primary objective of the study was to assess the impact of PowerPoint media on student learning outcomes compared to those taught through conventional teaching methods. The findings from the research at SMP Negeri 3 Barusjahe indicated a significant effect of PowerPoint learning media on students' mathematical performance. Specifically, the average learning outcome for students using PowerPoint media was 87. 6, whereas students taught through conventional methods achieved an average of 79. 3. Furthermore, the t-test revealed a t value of 2. 01, indicating a statistically significant difference between the two teaching approaches.
