This study was conducted to find out the difficulties of students in understanding the groundwater cycle material in the fourth grade science subject at UPT SD NEGERI 068003 Medan Tuntungan for the 2021/2022 academic year. This research is qualitative in nature This research method is qualitative with a sample of 25 students, questionnaire data collection, observation or interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the level of difficulty of students in understanding the groundwater cycle material in science subjects is underprivileged, while the level of the interview test is categorized as underprivileged because the teacher is less active in learning activities on the groundwater cycle in science subjects, then after researchers get data through distributing questionnaires to students and then solving them by finding the average value of students' difficulties in understanding the groundwater cycle material in science subjects 68.40 (Less Able).
