PENGARUH MEDIA BUKU CERITA TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN SISWA KELAS III SD NEGERI PERCONTOHAN KABANJAHE TAHUN AJARAN 2021/2022

Abstrak

This study aims to determine how the influence of storybook media on the reading comprehension ability of third grade students at the SD Negeri Percontohan Kabanjaheacademic year 2021/2022. The design of this study used a quasi-experimental design with the type of Nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were third grade students of Kabanjahe Pilot Elementary School, class IIIA as the experimental class and class IIIB as the control class. The method of data collection is using reading text and written test in the form of an essay to determine students' reading comprehension ability. The data that has been obtained are then analyzed using the t-test of the similarity of two averages to find out whether there is an influence of storybook media on students' reading comprehension skills. Based on the results of the post test, the average value of students' reading comprehension skills in the experimental class was 77.56 and in the control class was 64.06. The results of the t-test calculation obtained the value of thirung> ttable that is (15.77 > 2.001). This means that it shows that the accepted hypothesis is an alternative hypothesis (Ha) which reads that there is an influence of storybook media on the reading comprehension ability of third graders at the SD Negeri Percontohan Kabanjahe in the academic year 2021/2022.
