Abstrak

       This study aims to determine the management of oil palm crops in the technical and managerial stages of producing on a plantation scale. The research was conducted in February – March 2022 at PT. Umbul Mas Wisesa- South Estate located in Sei Siarti Village, Central Panai District, Labuhanbatu Regency and Tanjung Mulia Village, Kampung Rakyat District, Labuhanbatu Regency, North Sumatra. This research was conducted by observing activities in the field to obtain primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from direct observations in the field, interviews and direct discussions with plantation staff and employees. Secondary data collection is carried out by collecting data and information that supports the implementation and observations made. Supporting secondary data include land conditions, area and land use, crop and production conditions, garden infrastructure, organizational structure, regulations/standard norms of cultivation techniques from the company. In the management of palm oil crops, there are three main activities, namely care, fertilization, and harvesting. Care and fertilization play the most important role in supporting plant productivity. Harvesting is carried out with the observance of the rotation of the harvest and the harvest sector.
