Abstrak

This research aims to find out the improvement of student mathematics learning result using Cooperative Learning Model Type Talking Stick in class V Elementary School. This research was carried out in February 2022 in Even Semester T.A 2021/2022 at SDN 060954 Kec. Medan Marelan. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research which is carried out with 2 cycles. The subject of this research is all students of class V at SDN 060954 Kec. Medan Marelan which amounted 30 students consisting of 13 boys and 17 girls. The object of this research is convert fractions into decimal forms. Data collection techniques in the form of tests and observations. Based on data analysis, in the initial test only 6 students (20%) achieved completeness with an average score of 58.67. In the first cycle there were 20 students (66.67%) who achieved completeness with an average value of 72.5 and an observation value of 70.50. While in Cycle II there were 26 students (86.67) who achieved completeness with an average score of 80.67 and an observation score of 85.50. Thus, it can be concluded that through the use of the Talking Stick type of cooperative learning model, it can improve mathematics learning outcomes in terms of converting fractions into percent and decimal forms.
