KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA SEKOLAH DALAM PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER PESERTA DIDIK DI ERA DIGITAL 4.0

Abstrak

This scientific study aims to find out, explain and analyze the leadership of school principals in character education of students in the digital era 4.0. The method used in writing this scientific article uses a literature study. Data were collected through the study of relevant texts and research results. The results of the study of scientific articles show that the leadership of the principal has an important role in influencing, mobilizing, developing and empowering all existing resources to realize the character education of students in the digital era. The ideal leadership is leadership that follows the demands of the industrial revolution 4.0. leaders who follow technological developments, leaders must have skills in influencing, encouraging, guiding, directing, and mobilizing others that have to do with the implementation and development of education and teaching in the digital era. The success of the principal in realizing character education is determined by: (1) firmness and discipline in implementing every regulation regarding character education; (2) the principal's leadership role is to become a motivator for teachers and other education personnel in realizing character education; (3) creating a conducive school climate and culture; (4) exemplary principals in realizing and succeeding character education for all school members. It can be concluded that the principal's leadership in character education is shown through exemplary and personality that can be seen from his attitudes, knowledge, skills and experiences as an educational leader and school manager being a role model for all school members, especially students in realizing and succeeding character education.
