This development research aims to develop food chain smart board media for science and science learning in class V of SD Negeri 105309 Rambung Baru. This development research aims to determine the level of validity and practicality of smart board media. This research uses a Research and Development approach using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) model. The instruments used to measure the validity and practicality of smart board media are validation sheets and teacher and student response questionnaires. The research results showed that the validation results from media expert validators obtained a percentage of 91,.6% in the very valid category. The material expert validator obtained data presentation of 86.6% in the very valid category. As for, the practicality test for smart board media carried out by the class V teacher, the percentage data was obtained 93.3% with the practical category for use and the practicality test for class V students' responses at SD Negeri 105309 Rambung Baru obtained percentage data of 90,7% in the practical category. In this way, the food chain smart board media for class V science and science learning at SD Negeri 105309 Rambung Baru that was developed was declared valid and practical
