Abstrak

This study aims to find out: 1) Student learning interest without using the ice breaking method in social studies subjects ethnic and cultural diversity in Indonesia class V UPT SDN 106820 Pancur Batu for the 2023/2024 academic year, 2) Student learning interest using the ice breaking method in social studies subjects ethnic and cultural diversity in Indonesia class V UPT SDN 106820 Pancur Batu for the 2023/2024 academic year using the ice breaking method,  3) A significant influence by using the ice breaking method on students' learning interest in social studies subjects of ethnic and cultural diversity in Indonesia class V UPT SDN 106820 Pancur Batu for the 2023/2024 academic year.. The type of research used is quasi-experimental research, where only one class is treated. The design of this study is a pre-experimental design with a questionnaire-shaped one group pretest-posttest design. This research was carried out at UPT SD Negeri 106820 Pancur Batu T.P 2023/2024. The population of this study was all class V students totaling 25 students. The sample in this study was all class V students totaling 25 students. The results of the study are as follows: (1) The results of the student interest questionnaire without using the ice breaking method are 58.15. (2) The results of the student interest questionnaire using the ice breaking method are 88.15. (3) There is a significant influence on the value of student learning interest with the number of learning interest scores obtained significant values, hypothesis testing using the T test formula so that class V posttest value data is obtained, namely Tcalculate of 35.57 and Ttable value of 2.06, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence by using the ice breaking method on student learning interest in social studies subjects ethnic and cultural diversity in Indonesia class V UPT SDN 106820 Pancur Stone Academic Year 2023/2024.
