This study aims to analyze the needs, describe the development design, prove the feasibility, and demonstrate the effectiveness of a digital comic-based flipbook learning media for 5th-grade students at SD Negeri 065013 Medan. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) study using the Richey and Klein model, also known as the PPE model, which aims to develop a digital comic-based flipbook learning media while considering two aspects of quality, validity, and practicality. Qualitative data collection techniques include documentation and observation, while quantitative data collection techniques include validation sheets and questionnaires. The product design is carried out according to the school's needs, production is done by arranging indicators and materials into the media, and the last step is evaluating the media with validators. The results of this study show that the need for digital comic-based flipbook learning media, especially for studying ecosystem materials, is quite high. Furthermore, in designing the digital comic- based flipbook via Chrome by clicking on the shared link, the digital comic is also made in PDF format so that it can be used via PC or laptop without internet access. Furthermore, the validation assessment by media experts is 100%, content experts 91.6%, teacher responses 98.3%, and student questionnaire responses 85.4%, indicating that the developed learning media meets very suitable criteria. The use of digital comic-based flipbooks is highly suitable for assisting 5th-grade students at SD Negeri 065013 Medan in understanding learning, especially in the subject of science, ecosystem materials.
