Abstrak

This study was motivated by the decline in student learning outcomes on the subject of cooperation in the neighborhood social studies class II in elementary school. This Classroom Action Research aims to improve students' understanding of learning in social studies in class II SDN 60 Tondon Kec. Enrekang by using the Inquiry model with the help of poster media. The implementation procedures used in this class action research through 2 cycles and each cycle has 4 stages including planning, implementation, observation and evaluation and analysis. The subjects involved in this study were 20 grade II elementary school students. Data collection in the study was carried out by collecting tests. The test used is a learning outcome test that is used to measure learning achievement after learning material in social studies subjects that have been given. The data obtained in the study was then analyzed using descriptive data analysis, namely by finding the average value of students, the percentage of absorption, and the percentage of learning completeness. the results of the research analysis showed that there was an increase in learning outcomes between cycle I (number 1529, average 73, absorption 73%, and learning completeness 52%) and cycle II (number 1719, average 82, learning completeness 83%). There was an increase in learning outcomes in cycle I and cycle II, showing an average increase in absorption of 9% and an increase in learning completeness of 31%. Based on these results it can be concluded that after applying the inquiry learning model with the help of poster media can improve student learning outcomes
