This study seeks to investigate the impact of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model, enhanced by crossword puzzle media, on the academic performance of fourth-grade students at SDN 060827 Medan Amplas during the 2024/2025 academic year. The research employed a pretest-posttest control group design. In this design, the experimental group utilized the PBL model supplemented with crossword puzzles, while the control group implemented the PBL model without this additional resource. Upon analyzing the students' learning outcomes post-treatment, it was evident that those who engaged with the PBL model alongside crossword puzzle media performed better than their counterparts who utilized the PBL model alone. The hypothesis testing revealed a t-value of 3. 13 compared to a critical t-value of 2. 01, indicating that the calculated t-value exceeded the critical value (3. 13 > 2. 01). Consequently, we accepted the alternative hypothesis, which confirms that the integration of crossword puzzle media within the PBL model significantly enhances the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN 060827 Medan Amplas in the 2024/2025 academic year.
