This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning Model (PBL) on student learning outcomes used in Civics learning. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 101804 Johor Building, Namo Rambe District. The Experiment Class is Class IV-A and the Control class is Class IV-B. This research took place in March 2022. The instrument used was a test instrument in the form of an objective test of essay questions. The data from the test instrument results were analyzed quantitatively. Based on the analysis of test data, it was concluded that there was an effect of the PBL Learning Model on student learning outcomes on the material of cooperative attitudes in various ethnic diversity. This is based on the results of hypothesis testing using t-test on post-test data. This result shows that t = 1.784 > t_((0.975)(38)) = 2.012. From the criteria for testing the hypothesis, it can be concluded that student learning outcomes using the PBL Learning Model are better than student learning outcomes using conventional learning in class IV SD Negeri 101804 Johor Building, Namo Rambe District, for the 2021/2022 Academic Year. In addition, the average value of the experimental class students' learning outcomes was 84.85 and the control class's average score was 69.97, this shows that the experimental class is higher than the control class students' average learning outcomes. Student responses to learning using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Learning Model on the material of cooperative attitudes in various ethnic diversity are in the good category.
