Abstrak

This research aims to assess student learning outcomes in science, specifically focusing on the water cycle material for fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 067243 Medan during the 2024/2025 academic year. The objective is to evaluate the significant impact of using diorama media on these learning outcomes. The study was conducted on November 29, 2024.The research included all 21 fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 067243 Medan, comprising 9 boys and 12 girls. This pre-experimental design utilized a one-group pretest-posttest framework. Data was collected through assessments. The analysis revealed that the average pretest score for the water cycle subject was 44. 76, which fell short of the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). In contrast, the average posttest score after employing diorama media significantly improved to 85. 71, meeting the KKM requirements. Furthermore, the analysis indicated a substantial effect, with a calculated t-value of 43. 01 at a significance level of 0. 05, compared to a t-table value of 1. 725. Since the calculated t-value exceeds the t-table value, we accept the alternative hypothesis (H1) and reject the null hypothesis (Ho). This signifies that the use of diorama media positively influences the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students in the water cycle subject at SD Negeri 067243 Medan for the 2024/2025 academic year
