Abstrak

This study aims to analyze the effect of Supervision and Work Discipline on Employee Performance at the Medan City Fire and Rescue Service. The research method used is quantitative with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 99 respondents who were employees. The results of the study showed that supervision (X1) has a significant effect on employee performance (Y) with a Tcount value of 2.215> Ttable 1.660 and a significance of 0.000 <Alpha of 0.05. This proves that supervision can significantly improve employee performance. In addition, work discipline (X2) also has a significant effect on employee performance with a Tcount value of 2.287> Ttable 1.660 and a significance of 0.000 <Alpha of 0.05. This means that the better the supervision, the higher the level of employee performance. The results of the multiple linear regression test produce the equation: Y = 2.287 + 0.215 X1 + 0.287X2. The results of the F test show that supervision and work discipline simultaneously have a significant effect on employee performance with an F count value of 25.701 > F table 3.09 and a significance of 0.000 < 0.05. In addition, the results of the determination coefficient test (R²) show that the variables of supervision and work discipline are 0.649 (64.9%) and the rest are influenced by other factors.
