Abstrak

This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of using Canva for Education in improving digital literacy and IPAS
learning outcomes of elementary school students on the ecosystem topic. The study employed a quantitative approach
with a pre-experimental One Group Pretest–Posttest design. The subjects consisted of 20 fifth-grade students at SDN
068007 Simalingkar Medan in the 2026 academic year. The instruments included multiple-choice tests to measure
learning outcomes and a Likert-scale questionnaire to assess digital literacy. Data were analyzed using descriptive
statistics, normality testing, N-Gain calculation, and paired sample t-test at a significance level of 0.05. The results
showed that the average learning outcome increased from 57.50 to 90.50, categorized as a high improvement. The
average digital literacy score increased from 58.30 to 91.60. The t-test results indicated that the calculated t-values for
learning outcomes (11.706) and digital literacy (16.827) were higher than the t-table value (2.093). These findings
indicate that Canva for Education is effective in improving digital literacy and IPAS learning outcomes among
elementary school students.
