This study aims to determine the abilities, difficulties, and factors that cause students' difficulties in writing the morpheme di- and morpheme ke- as a prefix and morpheme di and morpheme ke as prepositions in learning Indonesian for class V SD Negeri 101804 Gedung Johor Kec. Namo Rambe, totaling 27 students. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive research method. The results of the study and the conclusions obtained were the students' ability to write the morpheme di- and morpheme ke- as prefix and morpheme di and morpheme ke as prepositions in learning Indonesian for class V SD Negeri 101804 Gedung Johor Kec. Namo Rambe obtained an average score of 65.44 and is included in the criteria of being underprivileged. The students' difficulties in writing the morpheme di- and morpheme ke- as prefixes and morpheme di and morpheme ke as prepositions, namely the use of morpheme di and morpheme ke as prepositions. The factors that cause students' difficulties in writing morpheme di- and morpheme ke- as prefixes as well as morphemes di and morphemes ke as prepositions are the students' lack of understanding of the prefix and preposition material so that students find it difficult to distinguish di- and ke- morpheme as prefixes. and morpheme di and morpheme ke as prepositions. The similarity of these two morphemes causes students to be confused when writing should be separated or combined from the words that follow.
