PERAN GURU DALAM PENGEMBANGAN KECERDASAN NATURALIS SISWA

Abstrak

This study aims to describe the teacher’s rore in the development of naturalist intelligence at Yapis Elementary School in Kaimana. The method used in this research is qualitative. Data was collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analyzed accoding to Miles and Huberman are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed that  the development of naturalist intelligence at Yapis Elementary School in Kaimana was carried out with school gardens and ornamental plants in pots. These activities are able to develop an attitude of discipline, responsibility, care for and love for the environment. In addition, the teacher acts as amodel, parent, facilitator and motivator. Teachers motivate students by giving awars in the form of gifts and praise. Overall school garden activities and potted ornamental plants can develop naturalist intelligence in Yapis Elementary School effectively.
