This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of the probing prompting model in science subjects on the learning interest of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 067244 Medan T.P 2022/2023. The location of this research was carried out at SD Negeri 067244 Medan from 18 to 20 March 2023 as the subjects were 20 students in class IV-a and 21 students in class IV-B. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research instrument, namely a questionnaire that has been validated by a validator. After learning was carried out in class IV-A using the probing prompting model assisted by video media and class IV-B using the probing prompting model without the aid of video media, the average result of the questionnaire for class IV-A = 78.63 and class IV-B = 63.27. Based on the results of testing the hypothesis using an independent test between the two factors of interest with a significant level of α=0.05, it is obtained x_count^2=16.867 > x_(table (0.95)(4))^2=9.487. Based on the results of testing the hypothesis, it can be concluded that by using the probing prompting model assisted by video media there is a significant influence on students' learning interest in class IV Science subjects at SD Negeri 067244 Medan T.P 2022/2023 so that the hypothesis can be accepted.
