Abstrak

This study aims to determine 1) Students' narrative essay writing skills without using literacy-based TTW strategies for class VA SDN 060936 Medan Johor T.P 2022/2023, 2) Students' narrative essay writing skills using literacy-based TTW strategies for class VB SDN 060936 Medan Johor T.P 2022 /2023, 3) There is an influence of the TTW strategy based on literacy skills in writing narrative essays for class V students at SDN 060936 Medan Johor T.P 2022.2023. This study uses a quasi-experimental research method. This research was conducted in February 2023. The population for this study was fifth grade students at SDN 060936 Medan Johor T.P 2022/2023, the number of 36 people who were determined randomly using a random sampling technique. The samples were 18 people in the VA class as the control class and 18 people in the VB class as the experimental class. Data collection techniques using observation sheets and worksheets. The results of the study are as follows: (1) Students' narrative essay writing skills without using literacy-based TTW strategies for VA class obtain an average score of 55, (2) Students' narrative essay writing skills using literacy-based TTW strategies for VB class obtain an average score of 89, (3) there is an influence of the TTW strategy based on literacy skills in writing narrative essays for fifth grade students through hypothesis testing t test obtained tcount>ttable, namely 125.13 > 1.69092 this means that there is a significant effect of applying the TTW strategy on essay writing skills narration of class V students at SDN 060936 Medan Johor T.P 2022/2023.
