PENGARUH METODE DEBAT TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN BERBICARA SISWA KELAS V SD NEGERI 094115 SARIBU JANDI KECAMATAN SILIMA HUTA T.P 2022/2023

Abstrak

The purpose of this study was to determine students' speaking skills using the debate method and to find out the effect of the debate method on the speaking skills of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 094115 Saribu Jandi, Silima Huta District T.P 2022/2023. This type of research is quasi-experimental, this research was conducted at SD Negeri 094115 Saribu Jandi, Silima Huta District. The population of this study were all 35 fifth grade students while the research sample was 17 students. The data collection tool was in the form of observation, the data analysis technique used was the data normality test, the homogeneity test and the hypothesis

testing used the independent test between two factors. Based on data analysis, it was obtained that students' speaking skills without using the debate method in class V-A SD Negeri 094115 Saribu Jandi were obtained with an average value of 65.65 in the sufficient category. Students' speaking skills using the debate method in class V-B SD Negeri 094115 Saribu Jandi, were obtained with an average score of 86.33 in the very good category. It can be concluded that there is an effect of using the debate method on the speaking skills of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 094115 Saribu Jandi, Silima Huta sub-district, in the 2022/2023 academic year.
