Abstrak

The object of this study was determine the effect of using the problem-based learning model on student learning outcomes in Indonesian language learning for class V SD Negeri 060930 Medan Johor in the 2022/2023 academic year. The type of research that will be carried out in this study is a quasi-experimental research with a control group pretest-posttest design. This study took a sample of 46 students. The research instrument is in the form of a test. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the problem-based learning model has a significant influence on student learning outcomes. This is based on the data obtained after the research was carried out, the results of data analysis showed that the experimental class pre-test results obtained an average value of 31.04 and the control pre-test obtained an average value of 30.12 which is still classified as low. While the average value of the experimental class post-test results was 86.19 and the control post-test was 79.13 which indicated that the results after being given treatment had increased.
