The purpose of this study was to find out how studens’ abilities determine the intrinsic elements of short story texts using the CIRC (Cooperative, Integrated, Reading, and Composition) learning model by fifth grade students at SD Negeri 105319 Limau Mungkur in the 2022/2023 academic year, how do students' abilities using the CIRC (Cooperative, Integrated, Reading, and Composition) learning model by fifth grade students at SD Negeri 105319 Limau Mungkur for the 2022/2023 academic year, and is there a significant effect from using the CIRC (Cooperative, Integrated, Reading, and Composition) learning model on the ability to identify the intrinsic elements of short story texts by fifth grade students of SD Negeri 105319 Limau Mungkur Academic Year 2022/2023.This research was conducted at SD Negeri 105319 Limau Mungkur for the 2022/2023 school year. The population consists of VA class students and VB class students with 22 VA class students and 22 VB class students. This type of research was quasi-experimental with the data collection tools used were tests and documentation. From the data analisys, in can be seen that students’ abilities using the CIRC (Cooperative, Integrated, Reading, and Composition) learning model on the Indonesian language students' ability to determine intrinsic elements in short stories in class V SD Negeri 105319 Limau Mungkur in the 2022/2023 academic year obtained an average of 78.18 in the quite capable category. There is a significant effect of using the CIRC (Cooperative, Integrated, Reading, and Composition) learning model on the ability of Indonesian language students to determine intrinsic elements in short stories in class V SD Negeri 105319 Limau Mungkur in the 2022/2023 academic year.
