PENGARUH PENERAPAN BUDAYA LITERASI TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA KELAS IV SD FREE METHODIST – 2 MEDAN TAHUN AJARAN 2022/2023

Abstrak

This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of
implementing a literacy culture on the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth
grade students at SD Free Methodist 2 Medan Know the Teachings of 2022/2023.
The problem with the school is that the implementation of a literacy culture,
especially mathematics lessons at school, is still not optimal. The population in this
study were all fourth grade students at SD Free Methodist 2 Medan for the
2022/2023 academic year, totaling 97 students divided into 4 parallel classes. The
number of experimental class is 24 people and the control class is 26 people. This
type of research is quasi-experimental and the research instrument is a description
test of 6 questions. Based on the calculation of the average student final test, the
average learning outcomes in class using the application of a literacy culture are
78.75 and the average learning outcomes in conventional classes are 73.65. The
frequency table of end-class test scores using the application of literacy culture and
conventional classes can be distributed in the frequency table and the post-test
results in the experimental class and control class are then depicted in the form of
bar charts to find out student learning outcomes after learning is carried out using
the application of literacy culture in class experimental and conventional learning
in the control class. Testing the hypothesis using an independent test between two
factors with a significant level ???? = 0.05 obtained ????

From the results of testing the hypothesis, it can be concluded that there is a
significant influence in the application of literacy culture to the mathematics
learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SD Free Methodist 2 Medan,
Academic Year 2022/2023.
