Abstrak

This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the description of students' interest in learning using the Contextual Learning and Teaching (CTL) model assisted by pop-up book media in science subjects about the material of the Cycle of Living Things for class V SD Negeri 067244 Medan Academic Year 2022/2023, to find out an overview of interest learning of students who are taught using the Contextual Learning and Teaching (CTL) model without the help of pop-up book learning media in science subjects about the Cycle of Life material in class V SD Negeri 067244 Medan Academic Year 2022/2023, to determine the effect of using the Contextual model Learning and Teaching (CTL) with the help of pop-up book media towards student learning interest in the material of the Cycle of Living Things in Science class V SD Negeri 067244 Medan in the Academic Year 2022/2023. The location of this research was carried out at SD Negeri 067244 Medan Selayang from 18 to 20 March 2023 as the subjects were 20 students in class V-A and 22 students in class V-B. This type of research is a quasi-experimental with a research instrument in the form of a learning interest questionnaire that has been validated by the validator. After learning was carried out in class V-A using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model assisted by pop-up book media, the average results of the questionnaire for class V-A = 74.71 and class V-B = 62.19 were obtained. Based on the results of testing the hypothesis using an independent test between the two factors Chi Square of interest with a significant level α = 0.05 obtained x_count^2 = 10.843 > x_(table (0.95)(4))^2 = 9.487. Based on the results of the hypothesis testing, it can be said that the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model, assisted by pop-up book media, has a significant impact on the learning interest of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 067244 Medan in the academic year 2022/2023, allowing the hypothesis to be accepted.
