PERBANDINGAN MODEL SNOWBALL THROWING DAN TALKING STICK TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPA KELAS IV SD NEGERI 060930 MEDAN JOHOR TAHUN PELAJARAN 2022 / 2023

This study aims to compare the learning outcomes of students who are taught
using the Snowball Throwing model with students who are taught using the
Talking Stick learning model in science subjects. It is carried out in class IV SD
Negeri 060930 Medan Johor. The problem in this study is the low student learning

outcomes in the science subject matter of objects and their properties. The type
of research conducted in this study was a quasi-experimental (quasi-experimental)
which totals 21 with a pre-test and post-test research design using two classes.
The sample of this research is class IVA (experimental) using the Snowball
Throwing model and class IVB (Control) which totals 21, using the Talking Stick
model. The research instrument used was an essay test with 5 questions. The
results of this study are that the average obtained by students using the Snowball
Throwing model is higher, namely 76.42, while the average for those using the
Talking Stick model is 69.76. This is proven through calculations using the t-test
with a level = 0.05 obtained = 1.76 > = 1.71, indicating that it is in Ho, so Ho is
rejected and H1 is accepted. Thus there is a significant comparison of learning
outcomes between the IVA (experimental) class and the IVB (control) class.
