Abstrak

This study aims to determine the effect of education level and career
development on the performance of employees of the Medan City Fire and Rescue
Service. The type of research used is quantitative research. The research method
used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results obtained indicate that the
level of education and career development affect the performance of the Medan

City Fire and Rescue Service employees either partially or simultaneously.
Partially, it shows that (1) education level influences employee performance, as
indicated by tcount (4.575) > ttable (1.983) and a significance level of 0.000
<0.05. (2) Career Development affects the performance of the Medan City Fire
and Rescue Service employees, as indicated by the tcount (2.389) > ttable (1.983)
and a significant level of 0.003 <0.05. (3) The level of education and career
development simultaneously influences employee performance, as indicated by the
value of the correlation coefficient (R2) of 0.924 (92.4%), the value of Fcount is
greater than Ftable (17.613 > 3.08).
