Abstrak

The title of the research "Application of POC Fermented Banana Peel Effect on the Growth and Development of Red Spinach (Amaranthus tricolor) was carried out at UPTD. BIH. Johor Building, Medan. As of January – April 2023. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of fermentation time, concentration, and interaction of banana skin on the growth and development of Red Spinach Plants Using the RAK method with 2 factors Factor I Fermentation Time of Banana Peel, with the symbol L, level L0 (without days), L1 (1 week), L2 (2 weeks), L3 (3 weeks) Factor II concentration, symbol K with levels K0: 0 ml (control), K1 (15 ml), K2 (25 ml), K3 (35 ml) With a spacing of 20 x 30 cm, 3 replicates , 25 plants per plot, 5 sample plants, Plot size 100 cm x 150 cm, Plot area 15,000 cm, Spacing between plots 50 cm, Spacing between replicates (blocks) 75 cm, Land area 25 m x 10 m, Total number of plants 1,200, Combination treatment (t) 16. Use of long fermentation in the manufacture of POC which is used to fertilize red spinach plants has an effect on increasing the growth and production of red spinach plants. The use of concentrations has a significantly different effect on the parameters tested, to produce the best is to use a concentration of 35 ml (K3), while for growth it is enough to use a concentration of 15 ml to give good growth. There was no interaction between fermentation time and concentration used for all observed parameters by combining 3 weeks of fermentation and 35 ml concentration, so (L3K3).
