The purpose of this study was to find out the learning outcomes of students who were taught using the Problem Based Learning learning model in the Science subject Water Cycle material in class V SD Negeri 060933 Kwala Bekala, Medan Johor sub-district T.A 2022/2023, to find out how the learning outcomes of students who were taught with using conventional learning in the Science subject Simple Water Cycle in class V SD Negeri 060933 Kwala Bekala, Medan Johor District T.A 2022/2023, and to determine the effect of using the Problem Based Learning learning model on student learning outcomes in the Science subject matter Water Cycle in class V SD Negeri 060933 Kwala Bekala, Medan Johor District T.A 2022/2023. The research was carried out at SD Negeri 060933 Kwala Bekala, Medan Johor sub-district T.A 2022/2023. As a population, there are 22 students in class VA and class VB with 22 students in class IVA and 22 students in class IVB. The type of research being carried out was a quasi-experimental research (quasi-experimental) with the data collection tool used was an essay test. From data analysis and hypotheses; (1) obtained the average value of students who were taught using the Problem Based Learning learning model in the water cycle material based on natural potential in class V-A SDN 060933 Kwala Bekala, Medan Johor District, the average value was 78.18. (2) The science learning outcomes of students who were taught using conventional learning models on water cycle material based on natural potential in class V-A SDN 060933 Kwala Bekala, Medan Johor District obtained an average score of 64.09. (3) there is a significant effect of using the Problem Based Learning learning model on student learning outcomes in the science subject water cycle material for Class V SDN 060933 Kwala Bekala, Medan Johor District in the 2022/2023 Academic Year.
