Abstrak

The purpose of this study was to determine how the impact of tourism development on the social and economic community in Jona Garden tourist attraction, Sei Bingai District, Langkat Regency. The research used is fieldwork and in-depth interviews with qualitative research. Data collection techniques are techniques or ways used by researchers to collect data, namely observation, interviews, documentation and literature study. Data analysis techniques are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the study The development of Jona Garden tourist destinations has a positive and negative impact on the dimensions of the life of the local community both in terms of social and economic The importance of related parties such as, local communities, government, and tourism managers to play an important role to maintain a balance between the progress of the tourism sector and environmental preservation. The benefits of research for the author add insight into the knowledge of the impact of tourism development on the social and economic community.
