Sunggal for Academic Year 2023/2024”. Thesis for elementary school teacher education study program, faculty of teaching and educational sciences, Quality Medan University. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects using pop up book media and learning without using pop up book media on the area of square and rectangular shapes in class IV UPT SPF SD Negeri 104185 Sei Samayang Kec. Sunggal . The problem with this school is that the learning outcomes achieved by students in learning mathematics are not optimal. This type of research is experimental and the research instrument is a test. The average final test score obtained by class IV A was 63.3 as the experimental class using pop up book media and class IV B was 73 as the control class. The frequency table of final test scores for the experimental class and control class can be distributed in absolute frequency and relative frequency tables and then depicted in diagram form to determine student learning outcomes after learning with pop up book media in the experimental class and learning without pop up book media in the control class. Hypothesis testing uses an independent test between two factors with a significant level of α = 0.05 and dk = (2-1)(5-1) = 4 to get x_(0.95)(4)^2 = 9.49. From the results of data hypothesis testing, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the use of pop up book media on student learning outcomes in class IV UPT SPF SD Negeri 104185 Sei Semayang Kec. Sunggal.
