Abstrak

This study aims to optimize Indonesian language learning through the technique of writing acrostic poetry for elementary school students. The background of the problem of this study is the low ability to write children's poetry has an impact on learning to write children's poetry, so it also results in low scores of students in learning Indonesian, especially learning to write poetry the method used in this study is a pseudo-experiment, with the design of pretest-posttest one group or before-after design. In this design at the beginning of the study measured (pretest) the students' poetry writing skills, then treatment learning with acrostic poetry writing techniques, after which the measurement again (posttest) to the students' poetry writing skills. The Data used in this study is the pretest-postest value of the data from the formative assessment of the learning process in the form of a psychomotor domain test that is the skill of writing acrostic poetry. Data collection techniques using a rubric performance observation instrument in the form of a checklist with four options. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive statistical analysis as well as parametric statistical analysis through the one-sample normality test Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and test the difference between two pretest and post-test measurements using paired samples t-test calculation using SPSS version 27.0. The results of the measurement findings show that the pretest results appear to increase the results of the post-test of students' poetry writing skills in Indonesian lessons after treatment using acrostic poetry writing techniques. This study concludes that there is an optimized Indonesian language learning through the technique of writing acrostic poetry for elementary school students
