PENGARUH PEMBERIAN PUPUK KANDANG AYAM DAN PUPUK UREATERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN BAYAM MERAH

Abstrak

This research was conducted at the UPTD. Benih Induk Hortikultura Gedung Johor, Medan City, North Sumatra, from November 2023 to January 2023. The objective of this research was to evaluate the effect of chicken manure and urea fertilizer on the growth and yield of red spinach plants. The research method used a factorial Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with 2 treatment factors: chicken manure and urea fertilizer. The data obtained were analyzed using Anova test at a significance level of 5% to assess the treatment effect. The results of the research showed that the increase in urea fertilizer dosage was positively correlated with plantheight, explained by the linear regression Y = 0.425x + 50.035 with a correlation coefficient r = 0.70, while the dosage of chicken manure and urea fertilizer did not significantly affect the number of red spinach leaves. Conversely, the increase in chicken manure dosage was negatively correlated with the gross weight of the red spinach plants produced, explained by the linear regression Y = -3.685x + 168.96 with a correlation coefficient r = 0.8936. In conclusion, the interaction between the application of chicken manure and urea fertilizer affects the growth and yield of red spinach plants (Amaranthus tricolor.L.).
