Abstrak

This research aims to determine learning outcomes using audio-visual media in class III of SD Negeri 040459 for the 2023/2024 academic year. The problems experienced at the school are; Low student learning outcomes in science subjects on weather changes. The population of class III students in 2 classes is 30 people in the experimental class and 30 people in the control class. This type of research is Quasi Experimental with the research instrument being an Essay test with 5 questions. Based on the calculation of the average score before learning, the average pre test score for class III-A = 30.166 and the average score for III-B = 30.33. After learning was carried out in class III-A using audio-visual learning media and after carrying out a post test, students obtained an average of 80.833. Meanwhile, in classes without using audio-visual media, student learning outcomes in class III-B were 66.5. The frequency table of final test scores in the experimental and control classes is distributed in absolute frequency and relative frequency tables and then depicted in the form of a histogram to determine student learning outcomes after learning with audio-visual media in the experimental class and without audio-visual media in the control class. Hypothesis testing uses an independent test between two factors with a significant level of α = 0.05, obtained x2count = 12.85 and x2table = 2.75. From the results of data hypothesis testing, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence with the application of audio-visual media on learning outcomes in science subjects regarding weather changes in class III at SD Negeri 040459 Berastagi for the 2023/2024 academic year.
