Abstrak

This research aims to determine the effect of student learning outcomes using the make a match learning model, material on Struggle during the Dutch Colonial Period taught in social studies subjects. Implemented in class V UPT SD Negeri 065013 Medan. The problem in this research is the low learning outcomes of students in the social studies subject material on Struggle during the Dutch Colonial Period. The type of research carried out in this research is quasi- experimental (quasi-experimental) with a Pre-Test and Post-Test research design using two classes. The sample for this research was class Va (experiment) with 20 students, who used audio visual media and class IVB (Control) with 22 students using conventional learning methods. The research instrument used was an essay test with 5 questions. Based on the calculation of the average score, the final score of students in the experimental class using the make a match learning model was 88.00 and the final average score of students in the control class using the conventional learning model was 67.38, the medium criteria. The results of the hypothesis in this study used the t test, the results of data hypothesis testing can be concluded that student learning outcomes in social studies subject material on Struggle during the Dutch Colonial Period are higher than student learning outcomes using conventional learning models in class V UPT SD Negeri 065013 Medan T.A. 2023/2024.
