Abstrak

The background of this research is the weak understanding of grade I students in reading Indonesian language learning, because the learning process does not use media and is too focused on using teacher and student books. This makes it difficult for students to understand the material. To overcome this is to use learning support, especially using flashcard media in the ability to read beginning in Indonesian language learning subjects. This study uses the ADDIE model and has five stages of development, namely: Analyse, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. The first stage is the Analyze stage, at this stage what is done is to analyze the need for such development. Next is the Design stage, at this stage what is done is designing a product to be developed. Next is the Development stage, which is the stage that aims to produce a product that was previously designed. Next is the Implementation stage, at this stage is implementing the product being developed, the last is the Evaluation stage. The results of the assessment of Indonesian language learning flashcard media in the validation test by three validators resulted in an average value of 90% which was categoried as very valid and flashcard media was feasible to use in the learning process. The practicality test by the teacher with a percentage of 95% is categorized as very practical in terms of easy use and very efficient in terms of time. The effectiveness test based on the results of test  with a percentage of 92,5% is categorized as very effective for improving student learning outcomes.
