Abstrak

This research was motivated by the low numeracy skills of students in the city of Medan. Based on local education data, around 30-40% of elementary school students in Medan successfully achieve or exceed minimum competency standards in mathematics, while the rest are still below standard. One of the causal factors is the lack of use of innovative and interactive learning media in numeracy learning. This research aims to determine the effect of use Digital Educational Games on the numeracy skills of class V students. Research using a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design, involving 22 students in the experimental class and 20 students in the control class at UPT SD N 060972 Simalingkar B. Experimental class taught using Digital Educational Games, while the control class uses conventional methods. Initial value of ability The number of students in class VA is 46 and class VB is 32. The results of the study show that the average The average post-test score for experimental class students was 89.09, higher than that of the class controls only reached 60. Statistical analysis showed a significant effect of Use of Digital Educational Games to improve students' numeracy skills. The obtained value of t-count = 2.97 > from t-table = 2.021, because t-count is greater than t- table, then H₀ is rejected and H₁ is accepted. It can be concluded that Educational Games Digital is an effective and innovative learning method to improve students' numeracy abilities. This research recommends the integration of similar technologies in mathematics learning in elementary schools
