Abstrak

This study aims to determine the effect of using puzzle media on students' learning outcomes in the subject of Citizenship Education (PKn) with the material on Rights and Responsibilities for Grade III at SD Negeri 067243, Medan Selayang. This research employs a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study consisted of all Grade III students of SD Negeri 067243, Medan Selayang. The research instrument used was a 5-question essay test. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical tests, specifically the paired sample t-test, to determine the difference in learning outcomes before and after using the puzzle. The results showed that students' learning outcomes before using puzzle media had an average score of 48.25. After using the puzzle media, the students' learning outcomes in Citizenship Education increased to an average score of 81.50. This indicates a significant effect, showing that puzzle media is effective in improving students' understanding of the material on Rights and Responsibilities. The use of puzzle media can be recommended as an innovative and engaging alternative learning medium for teaching the material on Rights and Responsibilities in Citizenship Education for Grade III students at SD Negeri 067243, Medan Selayang, in the academic year 2024/2025..
